A Miniature Lake Vacation
The summer is flying by us a warp speed. We were planning a Neely Family lake vacation before Ben and I decided to move back to Kansas. The trip evolved from a week in a cabin at Lake Texoma to a day at Elk City Lake near Independence. It turned out wonderfully. The Garrisons and Kate were home for the weekend for Grandma Shearhart's 80th birthday party (more on that later) so we took advantage of the warm weather and headed to the lake on Saturday morning. We found a nice shade tree and a picnic table near the water. Ben brought the boat and took a few short boat rides. For the most part, the little girls played in the water with their floaties and the baby boys hung out under the tree.
Sleepy girls. Aunt Kate got some good snuggles in.
Jack wanted snuggles too!
On Sunday, we celebrated Grandma Shearhart's 80th birthday.
