Here is a picture looking northeast from the street to where our house will be.

These are looking west and southwest from the backside of the lot.
Lastly, here are a couple from behind where our house will be. There is a pretty cool little strip of mesquite pasture back there that won't ever be zoned for residential development. The fact that no one will ever be able to back a home up to ours was a big selling point. We'll have access to plenty of mesquite for the smoker and plenty of cacti for Sam to get into and learn about.

I bet there aren't any snakes back there.
You just HAD to mention snakes. ugh. I'm a little more worried about spiders. Large hairy spiders. Hopefully Sam will be a great hunter of large hairy spiders.
Sam isn't scared of spiders a lick. Now snakes...
