What a whirlwind past two hours. Between 6:00 and 8:00 this evening might have been worse than the bad period last night. Tiffany just kept feeling more and more pain. Increased pain led to increased blood pressure which led to some sort of magnesium medicine through the IV which led to nausea which led to vomiting which led to crying. No fun at all!
The problem got identified and the anesthesiologist came in to check out the epidural. After a little bit of prodding, poking, and watching, he gave us the option of waiting to see if the new medicine would work or getting a new epidural. At this point, Tiff had been on the verge of tears for a couple of hours and she very bluntly told him that starting a new epidural was the way to go.
He did an outstanding job and Tiffany felt relief almost immediately. She has been happier than a pig eating slop for the last half hour. What a difference the new epidural made.
As of right now, 8:30, Tiffany's cervix is measuring about 8 cm. Hopefully she'll be pushing soon!

Way to hang in there guys! I'm not sure how much Tiffany will appreciate your "pig...slop" comment once this is all over. But it will make a great story for many years to come. We're rooting for you all.
